Aerosmith
Aerosmith
1973 Columbia Records
Make It
Somebody
Dream On
One Way Street
Mama Kin
Write Me
Movin' Out
Walkin' the Dog
Hard to see what all the excitement was about when I listened to this recently. Nothing really stands out.
Granted, after being inundated with 'Dream On' for 30+ years has probably dulled my senses to any
excitement that tune originally had.

Get Your Wings
1974 Columbia Records
Same Old Song and Dance
Lord of the Thighs
Spaced
Woman of the World
S.O.S. (Too Bad)
Train Kept A-Rollin'
Seasons of Wither
Pandora's Box
Okay, now we're getting a glimpse of what Aerosmith can do. 'Train Kept A-Rollin' single handedly got me
into the Yardbirds; 'Lord of the Thighs' was a VERY cool tune to a prepubescent rock fan (just sounded
dirty and sexy, y'know?); and 'Same Old Song and Dance' just plain rocks.

Toys in the Attic

Walk This Way
Big Ten Inch Record

Round and Round
You See Me Crying
Ah, the Zenith of Aerosmith. Every tune is a classic, and this album is a must have for every serious music
fan.

Aerosmith
Rocks
1976 Columbia Records
Back in the Saddle
Last Child
Rats in the Cellar
Combination
Sick as a Dog
Nobody's Fault
Get the Lead Out
Lick and a Promise
Home Tonight
The drug days of the Bad Boys from Boston rears its ugly head on this one. True, some great songs ('Back
in the Saddle,' Nobody's Fault'), but you can tell the recreational indulgences of the band were starting to
creep in in some pretentiousness throughout the record.

Aerosmith
Draw the Line
1977 Columbia Records
Draw the Line
I Wanna Know Why
Critical Mass
Get It Up
Bright Light Fright
Kings and Queens
The Hand That Feeds
Sight for Sore Eyes
Milk Cow Blues
Probably my favourite Aerosmith album. Why, I don't know, I just love this record. The title track, 'I Wanna
Knnow Why,' 'Kings and Queens' . . . It says everything that needs to be said about Aerosmith for me.

I Ain't Got You
Mother Popcorn
Train Kept A-Rollin'
Of course, it was the 70's so the obligatory live double album must be released. Seems EVERYONE was
trying to cash in on the Frampton craze. Some nice surprises ('Come Together,' 'Chip Away the Stone')
and the perennial favourites.

Aerosmith
Night in the Ruts
1979 Columbia Records
No Surprize
Chiquita
Remember (Walking in the
................................ Sand)
Cheese Cake
Three Mile Smile
Reefer Headed Woman
Bone to Bone (Coney Island
.................. White Fish Boy)
Think About It
Mia
Well, I saw the Night in the Ruts tour, but unfortunately Joe Perry didn't tour with the band and embarked on a
solo career. So-so record, another Yardbirds tune ('Think About It'). . . the best thing about it, though, was
the sophmoric, 'dirty' tour T-shirt! Great way for a 14 year old to rebel!

Aerosmith
Rock and a Hard Place
1982 Columbia Records
Jailbait
Lightning Strikes
Bitch's Brew
Bolivian Ragamuffin
Cry Me a River
Prelude to Joanie
Joanie's Butterfly
Rock in a Hard Place
...................... (Cheshire Cat)
Jig Is Up
Push Comes to Shove
The first and only Joe Perry-less Aerosmith record. (Brad Whitford bailed, too.) Kinda shows, too.
Although the single 'Lightning Strikes' was pretty good, the rest of the album just lacked that spark.
Maybe it was the climate - we are talking about the early MTV / New Wave years here - and there was no
real place for a dinosaur like Aerosmith. Nah! The album just wasn't that good, really.

Aerosmith
Done with Mirrors
1985 Geffen Records
Let the Music Do the Talking
My Fist Your Face
Shame On You
The Reason a Dog
Shela
Gypsy Boots
She's On Fire
The Hop
Just when you thought things couldn't get worse . . . yeah, Joe Perry ..was back in the fold, but the boys were
still 'snorting up half of Peru' according to Steven Tyler, and it really shows on this record. Lack of direction
is the best way to sum up this effort. Oh, and the marketing ploy of having EVERYTHING printed
backwards simply annoyed the public. I hope somebody lost their job over that idea.

Aerosmith
Permanent Vacation
1987 Geffen Records
Heart's Done Time
Magic Touch
Rag Doll
Simoriah
Dude (Looks Like a Lady)
St. John
Hangman Jury
Girl Keeps Coming Apart
Angel
Permanent Vacation
I'm Down
The Movie
Artistically, the beginning of the end for Aerosmith. Sure, Pump (1989) would help still the waters for a
while, but this record was their commercial breakthrough. MTV started palying the hair bands that were
weened on Aerosmith, so adding them to their playlist was a no-brainer. But Aerosmith became the
corporatedarlings of the late 80's and 90's, so I had very little use for them after this album.

Aerosmith
Just Push Play
2001 Columbia Records
Beyond Beautiful
Just Push Play
Jaded
Fly Away from Here
Trip Hoppin'
Sunshine
Under My Skin
Luv Lies
Outta Your Head
Drop Dead Gorgeous
Light Inside
Avant Garden
Ironically enough, it was a car commerical that proved the deciding factor of me getting this CD. Sure,
'Jaded' was a great leadoff single that sparked my interest, but the soundtrack of 'Just Push Play' and the
studio effects that were being experimented with on that song were enough to wear down my resistance
and accept that this is a really good record.

Ya like? Check these out!
