A 'greatest hits' compilation for a band that never really put out singles. Still, this is a collection of really good
songs, so maybe Warner Bros. knew what they were talking about. Hey, stranger things have happened.

When I first had this record, I hated it - it was not Sabbath. Now that I'm older, I love it! Sure, Tony Iommi
was tyring to take the band in a new direction, but the irony is that Ozzy hated it. Apparently so much so that
he patterned his successful solo career after it (!) Plus, it has a Bill Ward sung tune on it! Go figure.

Okay, maybe they now sounded like early Rainbow, but this album still rocks! Ronnie James Dio taking
Ozzy's place after he was fired from the group. One of my favourites!

The second (and last) Dio-fronted album. Apparently Dio wasn't satisfied musically so after the tour for this
record, he left the band. This record is also the first for drummer Vinnie Appice, replacing Bill Ward for
unknown reasons.

Lo and behold, Ronnie James Dio returned for a third Sabbath album! Unfortunately, their timing was bad
and this was released at the height of the Grunge Movement, which effectively killed any Heavy metal band.
Dio quit again and Sabbath eventually reuinited with Ozzy for several of his Ozz-Fest tours.

Ya like? Check this out!
