started out as a joke actually turned into something viable musically. Dan
Akroyd and John Belushi used to dress up in these black suits and warm up the Saturday Night Live audience by playing R & B classics with the SNL Band. Of course, that led to a guest spot on the show, this album, then the classic movie, AND a tour. Unfortunately there was a musicians' strike in Cleveland during the tour (1981), so I never got to see them live. Then Belushi ups and dies on us . . . oh well. |
