Spawning their only major hit ('I Don't Like Mondays'), this Rats album is good, but lacks the punch that
A Tonic for the Troops has.

Not very good, actually. Very strange with no discernible hits. Well, except for 'Up All Night' which is rather
good.

Up or Down
This is a strange one . . . In 1985, about the time of Live Aid, the Rats released this album in the U.S, their
last. In 2002, I procurred a copy that was released in England in 1984. The song 'Dave' became 'Rain' in
the U.S. - same tune with different lyrics. Also, the production on the U.S. version, for my money, is far
better than the English release. The sound is fuller, there's more going on the tracks . . . either version is a
treasure to have, but if you can find the U.S. version, snatch it up. Oh, and this is simply by far the best
record the Rats ever did.
