Orignally on radio, this concert was broadcast live on Toronto (Canada) radio station CHUM-FM and later
released by Canadian Columbia Records as a promotional-only album. In 1993, Rykodisc included this
CD in the 2 & 1/2 years Box Set collection. A wonderful snapshot of how powerful Elvis and the Attractions were live.

Another bootleg containing outtakes and a live set. Great nostalgia for me (and a brush with greatness) is
that I live in Akron, Ohio (Chrissie Hynde's hometown!), wchich is about 30 miles south of Cleveland, where
the live set was recorded. That's so cool!

Why Elvis thought he would be good without the Attractions is beyond me. The first 'solo' Elvis record and
it is remarkably uninspired. A good song here and there, but overall very pretentious and boring.

The last EC & the Attractions album (for about 8 years) and there is some strong stuff here. With the
exception of 'I Want You' this is one great record. Going out with a bang, so to speak, because after this
Elvis decided to go solo. Best laid plans . . . .

The most commercially successful of Elvis' solo records, this didn't do much for me. Some great stuff and
potentially great stuff - Elvis just doesn't know how to edit himself. The overly long, slow tempo diatribes just
aren't interesting muscially, lyrically, or otherwise.

Interesting. Baroque chamber music coupled with the angriest man in pop music. Amazingly, they pull it off.

Trying to return to form, this is the first Attractions album in 8 years. Animosity still reigns, though, since only
Elvis is credited on the cover and the band is mentioned as a true backing band status. Again, some good
tunes, some overbearing ones. Although, Elvis did tour with the Attractions to promote this, and THAT was a
concert to see.

You gotta hand it to Elvis. He always does what he wants to, public opinion be damned. And he always was

wrenchingly beautiful 'God Give Me Strength.'

With the promise of returning to his roots, I anticipated this release with baited breath. Thank God I wasn't
literal. Can't quite put my finger on it, but somehow I think Elvis has lost his touch. This was not the 'Armed
Forces

this album just didn't do anything for me.

. No, it's not an Attractions album, but it is a strong album with great songs and great
