Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Beatle-y, but original. In fact, Crenshaw played the part of John Lennon in the Broadway production of Beatlemania.

A great record, but no one heard it. This album marks the first of the independent labels Crenshaw
recorded on, and the age old problem still existed: independent, labels allow great artists who can't score
a major label to record, but the independents don't have the money to promote the disc. Talk about a
paradox.

Live albums are really a lost art. Consider the great live records of the 70s (Kiss Alive!, Frampton Comes
Alive!
, even Lynyrd Skynyrd's One More from the Road); I can't think of any live albums in the 80s or 90s that
match these landmark albums. Still, some are nice to have since I never got to see someof them perform.
Like Marshall. A good, fun, live album.

A great record nobody heard! The problem with small labels is that they don't have the money or know-how
for a big promotional push of their products. Lively, fun songs with a passion no teeny bopper could ever
hope to match, this album is prime Marshall. Too bad the label couldn't promote it the way it should have
been.

Now he's releasing music he cares about. You can tell when an artist graduates from trying to record
singles for airplay and success, to recording music that makes him or her feel alive. Marshall finally does
that with this record. It's easy going, relaxed, pensive music that only his fans will truly appreciate. This
album is for art's sake. And after all these years, he's entitled.
