Absolutely brilliant! Mature, thoughtful Power Pop, done with a passion that's little seen in a lot of bands. Too
bad this was there last album, but then, what a way to go, huh?

Great 80s roots rock! The dB's (along with The Long Ryders) were among the best. Great songs!

Dear Darling (I'll Be There)
Dennis 'Don't-Call-Me-Liza' DeYoung's solo debut. At the time I was really into Styx, and I still stand by this
record. Some great tunes here, and a lot of great memories.

The songwriting duo of Squeeze released this brilliant album after the demise of the seminal New Wave band. Sadly, this is the only album they did. Within the next year, Squeeze would reunite and continue with a string of brilliant albums for the next 13 years. I guess breaking up IS hard to do.

The Dogs & the Horses
A rather strange, yet wonderful, album from the mind of Neil Hannon. Difficult to categorize, this CD from
the British popster has a Brat Pack-y feel to it, almost orchestral, big band and pop rolled into one. I love
this record!

My first band - my first gig ever. Man were we terrible! But I thought we were great. AND we got to play on
the legendary stage at the Highland Square Theatre in Akron, Ohio, AND we opened for Paranoid
Lovesick
, a great Cleveland band at the time.

THE quintessential British pub band caught live. Great Rhythm & blues, done as only the British can do it.

Hard to pinpoint this band. Alternative Psychedelic Adult Contemporary comes to mind. 'Life in a Northern
Town' is still played on the radio today, and sums up their sound very well. A couple of other good tunes, too.

Dream Syndicate
Medicine Show
1984 A & M Records
Still Holding On to You
Daddy's Girl
Burn
Armed with an Empty Gun
Bullet With My Name On It
The Medicine Show
John Coltrane Stereo Blues

Though-provoking, serious, guitar-based Alternative music form the mid 80s. Saw them open for R.E.M. in
1984. Very cool.

Another fantastic Stiff Records release! Ian Dury is in top form here, although at times certain songs take some getting used to. But you'll be glad you did.
