| I
remember in 1975 that
Devo was playing the Akron Art Museum and I thought it was so
cool a local band was playing a place I was familiar with. I begged my mother to let me go and she adamantly refused, stating that Downtown wasn't safe. I couldn't comprehend this . . . all I knew was that I wanted to go and my mother was being totally unfair to not let me ride my bike to see Devo. I mean, I was 10, for crying out loud . . . . . . . . anyway, whenever I listen to this great debut CD, I think of that. Now 30 years later, I'm a veteran of the rock concert scene. Who knew? |

| Devo,
at the height of their popularity. This one has their biggest hit ever,
too, in 'Whip It.' Other great tunes here as well. |

I think that they were starting to wear a little thin by now. Only a couple
good tunes here. Think we all need a break. |

| I
guess this is a comeback album from the Spudboys. Not bad, considering they
were starting to wear a little thin a few years ago. Sadly, this did not return them to the top. |

| Of
course, there had to be a Greatest Hits record out there. Actually, though,
this is a rather good compilation. |
