epitome, the stereotype, of Southern California 70s rock. But it's such
a damn good album! Plus the myth of the inside photograph, with the guy
crouched down on all fours in the balcony. Legend has it that the balcony of the hotel where they shot the photos was locked off. Apparently, no one was in the balcony seconds before the photo was taken, and no one was there immediately after. And the balcony access was still locked! Was is a ghost? Ooh, very scary! In addition to this cool story, the music is timeless, even if it is played to death on classic rock radio. |

This is the
last studio album from the Eagles, calling it a day after the tour
for this record. In Don Henley's
words, the band would reunite 'when Hell freezes over.' Of course in the 90s, Hell did indeed freeze over and the Eagles joined the reunion party and toured the world. And yes, the tour was called the 'Hell Freezes Over' Tour. Ha ha. |
